Haha very reluctant to face the fact that Esaias is leaving the church. But ya, trust that God have His reasons for this and can still meet up lah :) Will miss this really close brother and our greetings of "hi brother!" and "yo sis!". Plus the way he squeezes my shoulders whenever he sees me and how I pinch his cheeks and earlobes. And how we put our arms around each other and talk to Justin (our dad).


Only got very very close with him this year. Around June or something. Really thank God that we're now closer :)


Will miss this chubby and cute guy so so so much! Haha..

Blessed Christmas!!!! I had a fabulous Christmas Eve and now I'm resting on Christmas since I just woke up from my sleep at about 6PM.




8PM, Christmas Praise Worship in church. Had a good time trying to make Jamie and Kelly laugh by beaming at them when they were singing in the choir. HAHA. Also had a good time seeing Jamie having a hard time pitching the high notes. :P


9:30PM, Service ends and passed around the Christmas cards and got presents (hahah thanks!). Mingled around and realised that a stack of Christmas cards are still at home, LOL. Oops! Walked around with Rachel.


10PM, board the bus and headed to Eld Sim's house. HAD A GOOD TIME CAMWHORING ON THE BUS MAN! HAHA. Junhao sponsored me his camera again (passing me the thumbdrive with all the pictures of yf camp + caroling soon so I can upload on facebook)




Snatched my dad (JUSTIN)'s new stuffed toy and then walked to Eld Sim's house. Sang "We wish you a Blessed Christmas" while going in. Introduction of ourselves (names, age, interesting fact).


My interesting fact was kinda lame LOL. "I don't have any interesting fact 'cause I'm interesting myself". True what. :)


Sang some songs and played WHACKO. I got whacked once 'cause I was the photographer and I was in-charge of TWO cameras that time. Hahah!


Mingled around again and it was funnnnnnn :D
We made so much noise the neighbour complained. Isaac and Lionel got tickled bad man. THEIR FACES = RAD, LOUD, BOOMZ.


Disturbed Titus also. Haha by taking a picture of him sleeping :)


Then Esaias and I got,.... 2 new uncles (Uncle George and Uncle Sean). And 1 new ahgong (Junhao). SERIOUSLY WEIRD FAMILY. Junhao and George kept talking in Cantonese. Sounded old. Hahaha.

1:30AM, Went to board the bus again, this time to Uncle Emmanuel's house :) Haha Justin's place. On the way there...... BGR TOPIC UP. AND MY DAD IS BIAS OKAY. Esaias and I were fighting over the soft toy then we: "DAD!!!!! HE/SHE BULLY ME!!!!!" *pitiful face*

Back from YF Camp 2009! Already reminiscing the times spent with others now.


Thank God for the camp and the messages about Salvation (even though I almost fell asleep for all 3 messages! BUT the spiritual retreats and devotions were good with the group).


And no I do not have any pictures to post even though my role in the camp was the photographer and I took 300/400+ pictures but oh well I took them with Junhao's camera so too bad :P


Okay so, shall just sum up the camp for now and then get the pictures of YF Camp 2009 from Uncle Brother Aaron or Charlene or Sujay's facebook. Pretty sure Junhao won't upload the photos.

Day One, 21st December 2009
Blessed Birthday to Zhiyun! :)


Reached church at about 8:15am then went to buy breakfast and had camp comm meeting at 8:30am to pray that the camp will be a success.


Esaias (haha my brother!!!!) and I then kaypo around the publicity area, to skip the ice-breaker games.. Hahaha in the end got forced to join the games by our stepdad, Justin.


Ice-breaker games were really fun and tiring though. Weird ideas of Alissa.. Haha!


Camp briefing then went for lunch. Chicken riceeeeeeeee. Remember this. CHICKEN RICE. Just remember it.


Group Identity Discussion afterwards! Teamed with Lionel (the Lion who meows), Junhao (camp master leh!!!!!), Titus (looks so harmless but actually is a joker), Samuel (high scorer for PSLE don't play play), Sze Yi (pink fluffy bunnies!!!!), Charlene (fellow photographer!) and Emily (Best newcomer award!), haha.


Group discussion was actually crappy and I was just jeering at Justin/Silas' group. Hahahaha!


They: *group cheer or something* "If you don't come SK, we'll KS you!"
Me: "? Justin, played too much maplestory is it?!"
They: "Peace!! KS YOU AH."
Me: "I PK YOU SEE HOW YOU KS!!!!"


Hahaha so we came up with the initials (of our name) idea for our group name which we can make LETS JC - Let's Jesus Christ. Then we realised.. There's an extra C. So, we came up with Hot hot potatoes - sharing the gospel but since it was one of the groups' name 2 years ago, we came up with....


SAF! Not Singapore Armed Forces, it's Salvation Always and Forever! Coooool right :) Haha that's why our group cheer was a bit of army-themed. And a bit Korean themed (Hwaiting! LOL), I have no idea why. Perhaps it's because Lionel's like an auntie who watches Korean dramas when he's bored.


Then went over to Changi Beach to have our amazing race :) Quite fun! Reached second. Muahahaha!! Haha thank God there wasn't any injuries also.


1st task was to take a picture of bird, catch an ant, collect 5 branches, take picture with a particular tree, observe all signs then head over to Junhao.


2nd task was to take pictures with 5 strangers - 2 men, 1 lady, 1 boy and 1 girl. Quite fun and there are quite a few number of willing people so we just headed off to see Daniel after that.


Daniel's task was to paint a group flag which we took our own sweet time USING PAINT, haha! Daniel saw that we were putting in effort so we got awarded an extra mark :) 10/9, muahahah!


Then headed over to the 4th task where we had to count the number of tiles on the bridge from point A to B which was 105.
Then we did a balancing test which we passed at first try with a timing of 1 minute and 9 seconds.
And followed by that.......... SUDOKU. Intermediate/Hard level. Left it for the smart people (the guys who use their brains more often :P) - Lionel, Titus, Samuel, Junhao to do.


Stuck at sudoku with a lot others for at least 15 minutes before going to Alissa's.


Had to observe the signs along the way so I decided to just take a video with the camera while walking to Alissa. Hahaha :P


A bit of cheating but this is smart okay! In the end, too lazy to go around a green box/sign then Alissa asked us what's on it. -_____-


Had to do group cheer (Fighting Satan, Hoi ah Hoi, Hoi ah Hoi! Get Salvation, Hoi ah Hoi, Hoi ah Hoi! ________ (forgot) to Heaven, Hoi ah Hoi, Hoi ah Hoi! Bersurai, Hwaiting!). Haha quite funny.


After doing the cheer, had to climb over the gates. Hahahahaha so funny. The guard or something wanted to unlock the gates then Alissa and Auntie Arlyn were like, "Eh call the person don't come! Don't need! Let them climb over! Faster climb faster climb!!!". Haha so climbed over.


Reached and played the Ha-Ha game. The clue card was: "find a beautiful young lady" and the lady is Christina. Lionel and I thought it'd be Aunty Lilian (as usual), HAHA.


Rested then waited for the rest to come and played Don't Forget The Lyrics - NLBPC YF Style. Played for 3 times and we only got 1 hard song :) The other two were I'm Singing For My Lord and Blessed Be The Name! Haha so easy. Both kena by me (die die must claim credit for this!!!).

Compared mosquito bites with Kelly LOL!!!! My blood is super sweet. Eat too many bananas? LOL. Glucose. 3 mosquito bites by the end of Don't Forget The Lyrics.



Skipped Dinner and loitered around before kaypo-ing around the publicity stuffs again. Haha so fun doing the publicity stuffs.


Then DADDY (Justin) complained that I didn't paste the Lost and Found corner/Sheep and Shepherd corner well enough so I took out everything and put on a perfectionist mask. Hahaha. Redid everything. So nice of me.


Had dinner (I HAD 3 SERVINGS. Wanted to have my 4th but no food left!!! *sad face*), hahah. Got called fat for the first time during the camp. After that the word 'fats' comes out more often from the mouths of myself and Jamie. And I think Rachel and Sze Yi also. Lionel attacked me with this point indirectly twice.


I shall not eat anymore. :(
My self-esteem is low now. Thanks ah people!! So unkind. Hahaha just kidding.


After dinner was spiritual retreat then message. Almost fell asleep in the middle of message but lucky Rachel realised my eyes were closing then she poked me - received a shock and woke up. Hahaha!


Got our sheep's name and the game of Sheep and Shepherd began.


Had free and easy/skit discussion afterward then shared some stupid ideas for the skit with the Ribena ad/Milo ad but didn't work out fine.


Had a birthday celebration for Zhi Yun (haha Rachel and I told Daniel that it's Zhi Yun's birthday so he bought a cake from Secret Recipe for her).


Then I sneaked to the toilet during snacks time to shower :)


Finally devotion of the day with the group.


Lights out. Only slept at about 2AM from all the talking and shifting around on the bed with Sze Yi, Rachel and Zhi Yun. Haha! Yup, 4 in one bed and I was like, "Oi gimme more space can? I'm fat right!".


When Valerie and the other p6s were talking about stuffed toys, I went, "Oh I'm going to call my boyfriend and kiss him through the phone. Then when I see him, he won't give me a teddy bear. He will give me a big cuddly bear hug!".


And they believed that I have a boyfriend. Hahaha so funny.




Day 2, 22nd December 2009
Woke up at about 7:50AM when we were supposed to wake up at 7:00AM since the day starts at 8AM but the ones on the bed (yes, us) were so soundly asleep and didn't want to shower in the morning, we just woke up late and used 10 minutes to wash up then went out for morning devotion/spiritual retreat.


Morning devotion was split into groups. I was with Emily, Lionel with Titus, Junhao with Samuel, and Charlene with Sze Yi. Then we joined together again for spiritual retreat.


Went downstairs for breakfast afterward and got 2 notes, each from the Master Shepherd (Justin) and the Chief Shepherd (Bro. Aaron). Both told me to help out during breakfast so my job was the easiest I guess, unlike others who have 2 different jobs.


Served 10 cups of milo and then had breakfast before message which was really long so we had a break in-between which Sze Yi, Rachel, Zhi Yun and I slept through before continuing the message.


After that we had skit discussion where I sneaked into the room to sleep while the group was searching for me, hahahahaha. In the end, Charlene found Sze Yi and I in the room, sleeping and woke us up for skit discussion.


But we were still stubborn and continued to sleep and Charlene had to go elsewhere, no others (others in our group: guys. guys are not allowed into girls' dorm) can come into the dorm to pull us out.


In the end, Sze Yi went out and bribed me out with some snacks but then I got cheated - the box was empty so I wanted to go back.


Then Lionel tried to pulled me out. I got pulled out, obviously - He's tall and his hands are super strong (no link to height but I just felt like linking it) + he took my pouch, which my phone is inside but the batt died already so I let him take it.


I went out, took my pouch and tried to run back in my room again but his hand (which is longgggg) managed to grab me and tried to pull me out again. The process continued for 3 minutes. Hahahaha..


Guess why did I willingly go out in the end?


Got bribed by food. Again. Pringles, to be exact.


Then kena shoot by Lionel when I shoot him for eating Pringles. "Fattening ah"

He: "I'm a guy and I can afford to be fat but look at you....... Sigh.."

So willingly had discussions, went for lunch, discussions again.. This time round, the idea of Can you survive a Japanese Game show came out and so we discussed about how we can apply stuffs we've learned (humility/fellowship/salvation/Christ-likeness/etc) into it.


Had message again before we changed into dark teeshirts for wet games then I had a horrible stomachache. Haha! Thanks to the pringles. Must blame self for being a glutton as well. Prayed for forgiveness of sin and applied medical oil.


Esaias took care of me also, hehhe! :) Thank God my stomachache went off after a while, also thanks to the green bean soup prepared by the food committee.


Then went for wet games which we didn't exactly get wet. Hahahaha! Played Hot Potatoes at Justin's station,


answered all correctly for the Bible quiz at Junhao and he accidentally poured Titus water when he had answered correctly so we made Junhao very very wet instead,


had fun guessing words at Daniel's station, and only got our bottoms wet from Alissa's human bowling game.


Haha only memorised one verse - Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God", went human bowling down the soapy/wet slide which I had a hard time going down, reached the bottom and couldn't go any further anymore so I just kicked down the bottles and STRIKE!!!!! (Y)


Last station, went back to the chalet. Before that, washed ourselves (Lionel and I) at Junhao's station, helping each other to splash water from his bucket onto our legs and butts. Hahaha.


Not much use in the end, my legs were still soapy so went into the bathroom with the rest of the group to wash ourselves and sprayed each other. Haha fun!


Then, went to Deepak's station. It's the fold-and-stand-and-fold-and-stand-whatever game. All the group members have to stand on this cloth thingy and stay there for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, the cloth will be folded into half and you have to stand on it for 10 seconds again and again till you cannot do it.


Tried to cheat using the usual method... I fold the cloth only a little (like 3/4 of it instead of 2/2) but got caught by Deepak in the end. HAHA! A bit tough but we just kinda hugged each other and push each other in. Haha passed in the end :) Teamwork woohoo!


Messing around with my sheep's (Valentino) brain, giving him weird clues to guess who I am. HAHA! My first card to him was super neat and that I used perfect English.


2nd card was to greet him a Good morning with a "me is nice" under it. Then he put back a note asking me for my gender so I just answered: "I only know I haven't been wearing skirts..." Haha funny! :)






Couldn't guess who I am, AT ALL. So funny when he was asking Joel Mohan, Esaias and I: "So haven't been wearing skirts means can either be boy or girl right?" :D


Showered while the other group members got very nervous about the skit - We haven't prepare properly.


RECORD BREAKING!!! Only used 7 minutes to shower while Zhiyun and Rachel were shouting and knocking on the door (happily), "JIESHI!!!!! 15 MINUTES ALREADY I AM GOING TO SWITCH OFF THE WATER HEATER", haha!


The camp tee was huge anyway. Should have got XS, like last year. S is really big.


Prepared for the skit, did some last minute adjustments. Fun!


Went down to walk around, talk to people and mess around at the BBQ pits. Said grace and had dinner :)


Funny part of the dinner was that Lionel thought that Sister (she said cannot call her Auntie and that Uncle Aaron (her husband) sounds old - that's why have been calling Bro. Aaron and Sis Carol. Cannot blame them, they are young anyway!!) Carol is my mum. HAHAHA!!


Sis Carol sat beside me and talked to me for a while before walking to Bro Aaron then Lionel came and sat beside me and asked, "Can sit here right? Your mum not sitting here?"


Hahahaha and I was confused then I realised he was talking about Sis Carol. Haha!


After that, arranged the chairs and watched the skit.


Had a photo montage in the beginning and most photos on the screen were by me (as said by Junhao, hahaha - he said that my photography skills are better already okay don't play play). Jamie had the best pictures ever! With Joel Mohan! Hahahaha.


Amayniah's "Bah" in the video was super anti-climax and caused us to laugh, haha.

I joined in their discussions at least once everyday (hahahaha while escaping from my group discussion with my excuse of: "I need to take picture. I got admission card to anywhere to take pictures for the camp!!!"). And they were (okay, make it ARE - present tense) good!!! :)

At the 'Salvation Kiosk', there's Sweetalk - Sells BIBLEtea; 7-11 - It's a store for more; Breadtalk - Bread of Life; Obedience - Just do it (haha Nike) and the last one, Yakumbaya (should be Yakun Kaya. But Kumbaya is a song) - Refer to song number 8 of camp booklet. :)


My stepdad (Justin) and brother (Esaias) were super funny with their facial expressions. Hahaha they were showing that they were... touched to tears. Loool!




Next: 2 groups merged together - LAMB CHOPS and THE ONE.


Their idea was similar to ours and it was really just funny. ISAAC KUA (YES THE IRRITATING 12 YEAR OLD ISAAC WHO KEEPS SAYING THAT HE'S TALLER THAN ME!!!!!) was the HUMBLE one. Haha so don't fit the description! And Joel Mohan was the Proud one.


They were on a 'game show' and the last question was:
Grace (game show host): "What does B-I-B-L-E stands for?"
Joel: "I know! Bible!"
Grace: "Sorry the answer is wrong! It should be BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH"


Hahaha really cracked me up.


They sang Nobody - Wondergirls (changed the lyrics, of course) in the end. Hahaha but had some technical difficulties before that. Haha.




3rd one up: S-FORCE (the group name made me laugh.. HAHAHA go figure)


Valerie, Hui En and Amayniah were the POWERPUFF GIRLS with names: Faith, Humility and Charity. Then Christina went out:

Played the 'game show' where I had to swing marshmallow and Lionel had to eat it but then failed due to the temptations - bread, in the end. Funny part? Lionel's facial expressions. HAHA CLASSIC! :) And the part he just took the marshmallow by hand when we 'lost'.  -- FELLOWSHIP.


2nd part of game show is where Samuel got pulled around and that Emily/Sze Yi had to throw and hit him. Hahaha.  -- REJECTION 'cause Samuel got pulled around.
Then those who hit, can go in heaven.


Sze Yi to me: "WOW I HIT THRICE SO I CAN GO IN HEAVEN THRICE LAH?!?!" LOL.


Last part: Emulating Christ. Stupid Lionel was person we had to imitate and he gave us weird actions for us to imitate :@

Haha got 2nd for skit and SK got first in the end (congrats!!!!). Hahaha. Had night games after that.


Got a RED COLOUR GLOWSTICK (me like red!!!) then got into the same team as Kelly, Joel Mohan, Sujay, Isaac, Lionel, Justin, Silas, Laura, Jervis (who was killing ants with wax LOL), Rachel and Junhao in the end (sorry if I missed out anyone).


The rules of the game is that each one of us have a candle and at the base, there's a refuel station (that is if our flames go out, we must go refuel).


And we had to go to the enemy's base to burn the rope tied to the chairs.


We can blow out enemies' (coming towards our base) candles. But not the teacup candles (smaller version candles). And only if our candles are lighted while we try to extinguish the enemies' candles.


In the end everyone cheated for the first round, the enemies came our base and blew away the whole of our refuel candles while we blew away their candles when our candles were not lit. And the rope from our chair came off after a while when no one did anything to it. Haha.


So, 2nd round. WE WON!!!!!! :) Haha Justin (MY DAD OKAY MY DAD!!!! Haha!) was AWESOME. We couldn't blow away the flames of others' candles when ours are not lit so MY DAD USED HIS HAND TO EXTINGUISH THE ENEMIES' FLAME (and accidentally broke some candles hahahahaha). Haha so proud of my dad who fails at direct/indirect proportion*


*There was once I didn't know how to do a proportion question so I asked him. In the end he couldn't do it while I got the answer already :P I still feel the joy thinking about it 'cause he always laugh at how lousy my arithmetic is.


We won 'cause we focused on defense while they focused on attacking. They sent out everyone except 3 to our base to attack while we send 3 to attack theirs. Haha! And the three included the 2 tall Joel Mohan and Lionel (tall is good. hold candles up high so the wind won't extinguish the flames) and the witty, irritating Isaac :)


Woohooo, hahahaha. Sneaked up (again, while they were having snacks) to wash up and thought I couldn't sleep yet. In the end, we were allowed to sleep already so I was the first to go up, pack my stuffs and sleep.


Sze Yi, Rachel and Zhiyun came soonly after and we took the bed again :D :D 


Actually I fell asleep at about 1AM (everyone else except us were still talking. they talked till 4AM in the morning) then Rachel & Zhiyun suddenly shouted and I woke up.. Couldn't sleep till 2AM.. Haha. But slept so soundly to the extent that we couldn't hear anyone coming in and making noises. Shiok. + I adjusted the fan and aircon so we'll all be cold. Hahaha.




3rd day, 23rd December 2009
Woke up at only near 9AM. Almost missed breakfast.


Crapped like crazy with Esaias and Justin and then Justin became Esaias and my STEPDAD. With sweaty palms. Hahaha..



Checked out, went back to church, devotion and spiritual retreat. I did devotion with Sze Yi. Straight to the point, discuss here and there then went to the guys' side to listen to their devotion while waiting to do spiritual retreat.


Did spiritual retreat then asked Junhao, "How come Jamie's your desktop wallpaper huhhuh!?!?"
Junhao: "Not I put one! Is Bro Aaron put one! Quite cute also what."
Lionel: "Put Jieshi one lah, she also cute what."
Me: *senses sarcasm* *stares*


HAHA LOOK AT THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE. I'M CUTE OKAY. CUTEEEEEEEEE. LOL!


And had CHICKEN RICE (find this familiar? called you to remember already right!!!!!) for lunch. Ate then took pictures, again.



Today's pictures were all people. No scenery at all! Okay only like, 5. Out of 200 for that day. Hahaha. Had dunkin' donuts for teabreak (?) and sat round the circle to reveal our sheep/shepherd. Hehehehe. I like the expression on Valentino's face when I pass to him my shepherd present :P


Justin: "Jieshi! Out!"
Me: *Stops taking pictures, takes my present, walks to Valentino, smiles and gave him*
Tino: O.O "HUH YOU'RE MY SHEPHERD?!?!?!?!?!"
Me: "I'm good right!!!!!!!!! Actually your first guess was me then I managed got myself out of it, muahahaha. Pro. AND YOU BETTER TREASURE THE GIFT. IT EXCEEDED WHAT THE PRICE OUGHT TO BE!!!!"


Did the Christmas cards and Sujay....... Act cute on my card -________-
Keep making me turn my card to read. Bro Aaron also lah, but he did it for every card.


Justin and Esaias' notes were just right on top of each other. Justin calling me 'daughter' and Esaias calling me 'sister'. Hahahaha! Family leh~


Isaac also act cute. Draw a picture of me and him - him taller. Hahaha and Joel Mohan.. BEST! "Lazy to write leh. Read the birthday card I gave you. Blessed Birthday!" - he forgot it was supposed to be a Christmas card.


Haha so went up for camp debrief and sharing about what is good/bad about the camp and came up with Auntie Arlyn some improvements we can make for next year's camp. Then prize giving :)


Bro Aaron and Sis Carol (wanted to type Uncle Aaron and Auntie Carol :P) will come help us for YF now.. Hehheh. No more kids church for them? Haha..

Finally typed finish. Anyway sorry to those I didn't reply your sms-es/pick up your calls since 22nd Dec. My phone battery died and I didn't bring charger to the camp. Hahahaha.. :P


And thank you for the notes fellow YF-ers left me @ the Sheep and Shepherd Corner! I had fun leaving notes @ your peg too! Haha.. I wrote, "I am watching you.... Love, your stalker" to Alissa! SO FUNNY LAH!


Then Esaias and I wrote a love letter to Justin. :P He was shocked I think. Chris wrote to Joel Mohan "Hi I like you a lot a lot. ♥♥" immediately she saw the Justin love letter. HAHAHA!


Looking forward to the Christmas Praise Worship later on at night (it's near 3AM now.. Dead beat from typing out this chunk of words. U R PROZ IF YOU FINISHED THE WHOLE THING WITHOUT PICTURES (will get the pics soon)!!!!) and caroling!! Till 6AM tomorrow, haha gonna stay at Uncle Emmanuel's place from 3AM onwards ~~~
